Application Engineer

I'm working with a leading financial services organisation that's looking for an Application Engineer to support and enhance a portfolio of business-critical enterprise applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining application support, continuous improvement and modern AI tooling to drive operational excellence.

Locations: Glasgow (preferred), Liverpool or London

Salary: Up to £70,000 (location dependent)

What we are looking for:

• Financial services experience is essential
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Charles River, FactSet, SharePoint or similar
• Exposure to AI-enabled tooling, particularly Microsoft Copilot, automation or modern operational tooling
• Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management and continuous improvement mindset

Nice to have:

• ServiceNow
• SQL or scripting experience
• Operational resilience / disaster recovery knowledge

You’ll act as the technical owner for a portfolio of applications, working closely with business users, project teams and vendors to improve reliability, automate operational tasks and ensure critical services remain secure and available.
