Child Protection Social Worker

Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker with a strong background in child protection and safeguarding?

We are currently looking for a dedicated and resilient Child Protection Social Worker to join a children's services team, working to safeguard children and young people and ensure their voices, wishes and feelings remain at the heart of decision-making.

The Role

You will work with children and families where there are concerns around safeguarding, abuse, neglect or other risks to a child's welfare.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of children subject to child protection procedures.
• Completing assessments and undertaking statutory visits.
• Identifying and assessing safeguarding risks.
• Developing, implementing and reviewing child protection plans.
• Undertaking direct work with children and young people.
• Ensuring the child's voice, wishes and feelings are central to all assessments and plans.
• Working closely with parents, carers and wider family networks.
• Working collaboratively with schools, police, health professionals and other agencies.
• Attending child protection conferences, core groups and multi-agency meetings.
• Responding promptly to safeguarding concerns.
