HGV Technician

*Overview*

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our workshop team, maintaining our fleet of vehicles/trailers at our inhouse workshop.

*Duties*

* Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on a wide range of HGV's and trailers * Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults * Perform safety inspections in line with current standards * Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently * Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and within health & safety guidelines

*Requirements*

* Proven experience as an HGV or trailer technician * Welding experience essential (MIG) * Class 1 licence preferred * Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills, using diagnostic equipment (JALTEST/TEXA) * Knowledge of braking systems, electrics and suspension * Ability to work and make decisions independently and as part of a team * Out of hours breakdown assistance will be required occasionally

* Overtime rate to be discussed for the right candidate * Holidays are 28 days per year including bank holidays.

Pay: £40,540.50-£44,226.00 per year
