MET Technician

Vehicle MET Technician opportunity in Swansea Our client, a reputable and well-established independent accident repair centre in Swansea, is seeking a skilled Vehicle MET Technician to join their dedicated team. Benefits: * Competitive starting salary up to £18 per hour, dependent on experience and current earnings * Overtime available at time and a half rate * 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays * Full in-house training and ongoing professional development * Long-term career progression within a respected South Wales-based accident repair group * Working hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with summer hours 1 hour earlier * Supportive team environment with a focus on quality and safety Duties of a MET Technician: * Accurately and efficiently undertake removal and reassembly of mechanical, electrical, and trim components on vehicles * Identify hidden damage post-stripping and collaborate with colleagues to compile parts and labour estimates * Complete all work in accordance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations * Support the diagnosis of damage and ensure repairs are carried out to high standards * MET Technicians Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and customer expectations * Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of work carried out * Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a professional workshop environment Requirements: * Recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair or working towards an IMI qualification * Individuals with extensive hands-on experience in vehicle body repair/strip and fit will also be considered * Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail * Able to work independently and as part of a team, multitasking effectively during busy periods * Full UK driving licence with minimal points * Proven track record in vehicle MET work, preferably within a busy accident repair environment This is an exciting role for a Vehicle MET Technician looking for stability, career growth, and a supportive working environment.
