Senior Site Manager

A leading Principal Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team on a £30m school project in Essex, currently entering the fit-out stage. This is a key role on site, acting as a strong Number 2 to the Project Manager, helping to drive programme, quality, and subcontractor coordination through to completion. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day site operations during the fit-out phase Manage and coordinate subcontractors across multiple trades Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard Maintain strict health & safety compliance on site Support the Project Manager with reporting, programme tracking, and logistics Drive quality control and snagging processes through to handoverRequirements: Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager with a main contractor Strong background delivering education/school projects (essential) Experience managing fit-out stages on medium to large-scale builds Excellent organisational and leadership skills SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualificationsWhat's on Offer: Opportunity to work with a reputable main contractor High-profile education scheme Competitive salary/package (DOE) Strong pipeline of future work in the region
