Working within a structured MDT environment, the psychology provision plays a key role in supporting cognitive, emotional and behavioural recovery for patients with conditions such as acquired brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and other complex neurological presentations.This is a key development role within the service, created to strengthen psychological input within the MDT following continued service growth and increasing clinical demand. Together, we are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to work alongside an experienced Lead Psychologist, contributing to assessment, formulation, intervention and MDT decision-making within a highly complex neurorehabilitation setting.Location:This site-based role is primarily based within an inpatient neurorehabilitation service in Tooting, South London, with occasional outpatient activity in Central London.The position is commutable from Croydon, Streatham, Wimbledon, Clapham, Brixton, Mitcham, Sutton, Bromley, Kingston, Richmond, Epsom, Caterham, Central London and surrounding areas.Work Pattern:Flexible contracts are available – from 1 day per week, right up to full-time (40 hrs per week). Criteria:HCPC Registered Clinical PsychologistMinimum 1–2 years’ experience in neuropsychology or neurorehabilitation (inpatient setting essential)Experience working with a range of neurological conditionsResponsibilities Include:Deliver psychological assessment, formulation and intervention within an inpatient neurorehabilitation settingSupport cognitive, emotional and behavioural adjustment following neurological injuryDevelop structured psychological intervention plans within an MDT frameworkParticipate actively in MDT meetings, case discussions and goal settingWork collaboratively with medical, nursing and therapy colleaguesContribute to complex case management and discharge planningSupport patients with significant cognitive impairment and neurobehavioural presentationsContribute to service development and strengthening of psychology input within the MDTEngage in supervision and reflective practice with the Lead PsychologistInterview Process:This will be a single-stage, face-to-face interview held on-sit with the Head of Therapy and Lead Psychologist – focusing on clinical reasoning, formulation, MDT integration and application of psychological models within neurorehabilitation.Salary and Benefits:This Clinical Psychologist position is offering 55,000 – 80,000 per annum, pro rata and depending on experience, alongside a benefits package including:28 days annual leave including bank holidays, increasing with servicePension schemePaid overtime Contact Details:To apply, or for more information and an informal confidential discussion, please contact Lijani Cherry at Compass Associates on or email (email protected).
