Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with a global manufacturing organisation based in Worcester as they look to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their strong finance team for a period of 6 months. Over the years, our client has grown at a rapid pace through innovation, acquisition and overseas investment to become a world leader in their field.
Your new role
Reporting into an excellent Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable process.
Main duties:
- Timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices
- Resolving supplier queries and discrepancies
- Preparing and processing payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls to maintain integrity of financial data
- Supporting with month-end close activities
- AAT qualified (or equivalent) - QBE candidates will also be considered
- Strong accounts payable experience (3-5 years)
- Manufacturing background (highly desirable)
- Able to work well independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly proficient in Excel and SAP
