Job Description: Group Finance Director
We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed services organisation to appoint a Group Finance Director. This is a pivotal, value-creation leadership role rather than a traditional reporting-led finance position. The successful candidate will play a central part in driving commercial, operational, and strategic performance, while engaging directly with the Board and investors.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused appointment suited to an individual who thrives in PE-backed, fast-paced, transformative environments with ongoing M&A and an exit event on the horizon.
This appointment is centred on value creation, financial leadership, and investor confidence.
The Group Finance Director will focus on:
* Strong cash, covenant, and banking management
* Delivering buy-and-build M&A activity
* Leading integration and transformation programmes
* Preparing the business for a successful exit
Key Responsibilities * Lead the finance function through a period of significant growth, M\&A, and value creation.
* Operate as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and private equity investors.
* Drive cash management, liquidity, covenant compliance, and banking relationships.
* Lead the execution and integration of acquisitions within a buy-and-build strategy.
* Prepare the organisation for an exit event (secondary, recap, or sale).
* Oversee finance transformation, including ERP, BI, and reporting enhancements.
* Provide high-quality Board and investor reporting, insight, and challenge.
* Build a scalable finance team suited to a high-growth, PE-backed environment.
We are looking for the below:-* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
* Proven experience as CFO or Finance Director within a **PE-backed or investor-led organisation.
* Hands-on experience delivering an exit or major investment milestone.
* Direct exposure to **M\&A transactions, including delivery and post-deal integration.
* Strong track record in cash management, banking**, and covenant** oversight.
* Significant Board-level and investor-facing experience.
* Demonstrable success delivering **finance systems / ERP / BI transformation**. *Personal Attributes*** Commercially astute, credible, and able to influence at Board and investor level.
* Hands-on leadership style with a bias for action and delivery.
