About the role

DAC Beachcroft is looking for a Senior Associate to join our Bristol based Corporate team. Forming an integral part of an established team of 40 fee earners across Bristol and London, the main purpose of this role is to lead transactional work across our portfolio of clients based in the UK and internationally.The Bristol and London teams are entrepreneurial, supportive and collegiate, working closely together across a broad, involved, and engaging workload including mergers & acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, buy-outs, equity fundraisings and corporate advisory matters.Our exceptional clients are discerning and expect a gold standard of service. We advise a variety of clients from large corporate groups to high net worth individuals, including a number of in-house legal teams at household name financial institutions, healthcare providers and real estate investors/developers as well as significant clients in the technology and leisure sectors. The team are looking for a 5+ PQE Senior Associate to bolster our growing team. For the right person there is the opportunity to progress into a Partner role in due course.Key ResponsibilitiesDeal with a wide range corporate transactions for a broad array of clientsAct as first and primary contact for clients on a day to day basis providing them with commercially focused legal adviceManage matters and time in a proactive and flexible way, including leading on larger complex mattersDevelop a deep understanding of our clients' commercial driversEngage with, maintain and lead on existing client relationshipsEngage with other departments across DAC Beachcroft to ensure a consistent and joined up approach to delivery of client servicesDraft and review correspondence, advice and documentsProvide formal supervision and mentoring to team membersUnderstand and role model the importance of maintaining service quality and delivery at all levelsActively develop and broaden core technical skills and knowledge Maintain matters in good organisational shape and in accordance with the firm’s core principles, strategy and goalsWork on matters of high value and quality in sensitive and complex environmentsUnderstand and comply with client service level agreements, protocol and processContribute and lead in the preparation and delivery of our learning and development programmeSupport and lead on client presentations, business development and marketing activity where requiredSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseA 5+ year PQE lawyer with strong experience in corporate transactionsStrong academics with at least a 2.1 degreeThe ability to hit the ground running and pick up work in a very busy teamStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to analyse and apply legal principles and facts to derive technically sound, commercial strategies for complex cases, focused on client and matter needsInterest in personal and business development, leading client relationships and shaping our growing teamDemonstrates proactive financial management with a good understanding of billing regimes, credit control, debt collection and accounting proceduresDepartmentCorporate Banking Insolvency and Tax - RegionsEmployment TypePermanentWorkplace typeHybrid
