This is a hands-on role supporting mission-critical aerospace products, including floatation devices and fuel cell systems.If you're detail-focused, safety-driven, and feel 'mission ready', we'd love to hear from you.Role OverviewAs an MRO Operative , you will maintain a varied skillset across multiple aerospace product disciplines.
The role focuses on carrying out maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities in response to customer demand, working strictly to technical instructions and quality standards.You will report directly to the MRO / CSD Team Leader .Key ResponsibilitiesCutting and marking materials using templatesReading, understanding, and following technical drawingsUsing adhesives, solvents, and chemicals safelyOperating welding equipment, large machinery, and pressesWorking in confined spaces and at heightsUsing milling and mixing machinesExamining materials to ensure they are fit for purposeCompleting route cards with 100% complianceUsing lifting forksWorking with small handheld toolsPainting tanks and componentsMandatory RequirementsComfortable working in confined spacesHigh attention to detailAbility to follow instructions preciselyFull adherence to PPE requirements (safety shoes, overalls, safety glasses)Ability to work with strong-smelling chemicalsStrict adherence to health & safety rules (no shortcuts or quick fixes)Able to read, write, and speak EnglishPositive 'can-do' attitudeQualifications & ExperienceFamiliarity with build processes across floatation and fuel cell production (desirable but not essential)LocationPortsmouth - Airport Service Road area (PO3)Working HoursMonday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15Friday: 07:30 - 16:00Every other Friday off (9-day fortnight)Compensation & BenefitsGenerous salary sacrifice pension schemeCompetitive company sick pay entitlement9-day working fortnightAccess to retail discounts via Perks at WorkEmployee Assistance ProgrammeHealth 365 - 24/7 healthcare access via Spectrum LifeCycle to Work Scheme (Blackhawk Network)TPBN1_UKTJ
