Job ref: 255710AHSLocation: Warrington, Buckinghamshire, EnglandContract: PermanentSalary: 45,000 - 55,000 per yearSector: ["Building", "Construction and Infrastructure"]Posted: 2026-09-01Consultant: Amanda Hughes ApplyRole:  Training ManagerLocation:  WarringtonSalary:  45,000 - 55,000 + Company CarJob DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Manager to join a leading High Voltage installation contractor delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK.This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will be responsible for delivering and overseeing vocational training, supporting apprentices and experienced engineers, and ensuring high standards of competency across the workforce.You will play a key role in delivering a Level 3 Substation Fitter qualification, working closely with learners to help them achieve their full potential.We’re looking for someone with a strong construction background and experience working within construction or infrastructure environments. This role would particularly suit candidates who have developed their careers within major engineering or construction projects and have a passion for training and developing others.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver structured vocational and technical training to engineers and apprentices.Conduct on-site assessments and support learners through NVQ qualifications.Mentor, coach and develop individuals at varying experience levels.Ensure training delivery aligns with industry standards and compliance requirements.Support the continuous improvement of training programmes.Travel to sites across the UK to engage directly with the workforce.EssentialStrong construction or civil engineering background.Previous experience delivering technical training, coaching, mentoring or instruction.Background in electrical engineering, construction or a related technical discipline.Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance within construction environments.Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.DesirableA1 Assessor / CAVA qualification (or willingness to obtain).Experience with NVQs or apprenticeship programmes.Exposure to High Voltage / Substation environments.Ex-forces background (e.g. Royal Engineers, Navy, RAF engineering roles) with subsequent construction industry experience.Why Join?Opportunity to shape and develop the next generation of engineers.Work in a varied, hands-on role across multiple UK sites.Join a growing organisation with a strong reputation in the industry.Competitive salary and company car provided.Support to gain further training and qualifications.Apply NowIf you’re an experienced engineer with a strong construction background and a passion for developing others, or a training professional with a technical background in construction or engineering, we’d love to hear from you.
