Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor – FM Service Provider – Luxury Residential Apartments - London, Aldgate – Up to £55,000 Exciting opportunity to join a privately owned FM service provider based in London. CBW is currently recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a mixed-use residential building providing a selection of beautiful apartments as well as independent coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. As the on-site Lead / Supervisor, you will ensure all maintenance and compliance standards are met while supporting a critical operation with minimal downtime. Balancing your time between looking after a team of 3/4 engineers you will also carry out hands on PPM & reactive maintenance as and when required. Hours for work: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 17:00pm NO CALL OUT Key duties & responsibilities Serve as the primary on-site contact for all client liaison, ensuring a professional and responsive service is consistently delivered Oversee the completion of all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities in line with schedules and compliance standards Coordinate and close out actions from audits, client meetings, and site inspections in a timely manner Compile and submit monthly performance reports and updates as required Review and sign off all job sheets for clarity, accuracy, and any necessary remedial actions Provide detailed documentation of works carried out, raising any follow-up tasks where needed Respond to all reactive and emergency call-outs efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations Diagnose plant faults and breakdowns, raise quotations for repairs, and liaise with management for approval Ensure all plant and building services are maintained in safe, efficient working order Undertake electrical inspection and testing duties in line with regulations and best practices Conduct routine site audits and ensure full statutory compliance is maintained across all building systems Supervise and coordinate all on-site contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with site rules and safety procedures Deliver regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and promote best practice in health and safety across the site Requirements Recognised Electrical qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline C&G 2391 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Inspection and Testing 18th Edition (BS7671) certification essential Proven experience leading or supervising an engineering team Solid background in building services and M&E maintenance operations Residential or Hotel experience would be highly desirable (Not essential) Excellent customer service skills
