Quantity Surveyor

We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for their Barnsley office to assist in providing cost and revenue management on major contracts. Responsibilities and duties of the Quantity Surveyor role You will: Contract administration ensuring all contracts are administered correctly in a timely and professional manner. Identify, mitigate and manage risk and opportunities. Escalate where appropriate. Monitoring and driving the progress of Compensation Events, prepared by the Technical department, to agreement by liaison with the client's representatives. Identify, notify and report financial concerns and areas where action is required to the project management team. Involve and obtain information from project key personnel in preparation of CVR reporting with the commercial Manager. Monitor and record site progress from information provided by the Project Manager. Collate the allocation of project manpower and productivity for submission to the client for applications. Prepare monthly progress payment applications for traditional applications or against activity schedule and follow up on payments. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Qualified Quantity Surveyor (Degree, or HNC as a minimum) Experienced in M&E Quantity Surveying Experience working in NEC contract types.
