Finance Assistant

Part-Time Finance Assistant (25-30 Hours per Week) Burton upon Trent (DE15) Up to 30k per year, pro rata 5 days per week About the Role We’re supporting a fast-growing, well-established business in Burton upon Trent looking to hire a Part-Time Finance Assistant. This is a key role within a busy finance team, focused on supporting high-volume transactions and maintaining strong financial processes as the company continues to grow. What You’ll Be Doing • Managing financial administration for purchases, handling multiple transactions at once • Processing high-value payments and carrying out accurate reconciliations • Recording cost of sales to support reporting and performance tracking • Maintaining organised, audit-ready financial documentation • Uploading and managing records in accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) • Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies • Supporting daily finance operations and working closely with internal teams • Assisting with continuous improvement of finance processes What We’re Looking For • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeping, or similar role • Experience with Xero (knowledge of Sage and/or QuickBooks is a bonus) • Good understanding of accounting principles • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication and team collaboration skills Why This Opportunity? • Flexible part-time hours (ideal for work-life balance) • Opportunity to join a growing, dynamic business • Varied role with real responsibility and impact • Supportive and collaborative team environment
