Finance Operations Lead

We’re recruiting a Finance Operations Lead to join our Finance Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and working closely with the Head of Operations, this role is critical in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely running of the organisation’s day‑to‑day financial operations.
This is a hands‑on role with responsibility for transactional finance, strong exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to help refine and improve finance processes as the business scales.
As Finance Operations Lead, you will be responsible for:
Owning and managing all transactional finance activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, expenses, and bank reconciliations
Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of month‑end processes, including reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies
Managing monthly partner statements and settlement processes, ensuring accurate calculations and timely payments
Reconciling management information across internal systems and bank accounts, identifying, investigating, and resolving variances
Ensuring all incoming and outgoing payments are processed accurately and kept fully up to date
Maintaining complete and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, commissions, and other control balances
Producing and analysing reports from multiple systems to support finance operations and business decision‑making
Acting as a key point of contact for finance‑related queries, liaising confidently with internal stakeholders and external partners
Supporting the Head of Finance with year‑end activities, audits, and budgeting
Taking ownership of finance systems, developing strong system knowledge, and ensuring processes are efficient, well‑controlled, and scalable
The successful candidate will be:
Highly detail‑oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
Well‑organised, able to prioritise effectively and manage their own workload
Confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
Proactive, self‑motivated, and accountable
Technically capable, with strong Excel and finance system skills
Professional, with high levels of integrity and sound judgement
A collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships
You will bring:
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
Experience using Xero or equivalent accounting software
Strong numerical and analytical skills
