About the role
An established and growing passive fire protection contractor is looking to appoint a Technical & Compliance Manager to take ownership of technical standards, quality assurance, and compliance across the business.
This is a key, hands-on role at the centre of operations — acting as the go-to for all technical matters, supporting delivery teams, shaping processes, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance from specification through to installation and sign-off, while also contributing to team development and overall business performance.
Key responsibilities
* Acting as the technical lead across the business, supporting internal teams and clients
* Overseeing quality assurance across live and completed projects
* Managing and maintaining industry accreditations (e.g. IFC, ISO, CHAS)
* Conducting site audits, inspections, and certification sign-offs
* Ensuring all materials and systems are correctly specified and compliant
* Delivering training and upskilling across survey and site teams
* Managing and developing the surveying and consultancy function
* Line management of senior survey staff and supporting team growth
* Liaising with clients and supply chain on technical and compliance matters
What we're looking for
* Strong background in passive fire protection (fire doors, fire stopping, or both)
* Experience in a technical, compliance, or QA-focused role
* Solid understanding of industry standards, test data, and accreditation schemes
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly across teams and clients
* Leadership or management experience within a technical function
* A proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes and standards

You’ll be joining a company that is actively investing in technical excellence and growth, with the chance to lead and develop a key function while benefiting from ongoing training and progression. With a flexible, hybrid working structure and strong support from leadership, this role provides genuine scope to make an operational impact while building a long-term career as the business continues to expand
