The Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Finance Officer to join our small finance team. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring our financial records are accurate, organised, and up to date.
As a small team, this is a broad and varied role offering real responsibility and exposure across all areas of finance. You will need to be comfortable working independently, managing your own workload, and adapting in a busy environment.
We are also currently transitioning to a new ERP/finance system, providing an excellent opportunity to be involved in system and process improvements.
What Youll Be Doing
Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
Posting bank entries and preparing bank reconciliations
Processing supplier payments and supporting cash management
Assisting with invoice and expense processing
Supporting month-end activities, including journals and reconciliations
Maintaining accurate financial records during system transition
Providing general finance support in a small, hands-on team
What Were Looking For
Minimum 2 years experience in a finance or accounts role
Good working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes
Confident using Excel and accounting systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Clear and professional communication skills
Just as importantly, you will be:
Comfortable working in a small team with broad responsibilities
Able to manage and prioritise your own workload effectively
Proactive in asking questions and solving problems
Resilient and adaptable, particularly during periods of change
Ideally experienced in a small business or fast-paced environment
Payroll experience is an advantage but not essential. xwzovoh
This role is on site Monday to Friday 8am-4pm 36.25hrs per week.
