This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in advising on data protection, privacy, and freedom of information across the Education, Charity, and Business & Social Enterprise sectors, while contributing to the growth and success of a purpose-driven firm.The RoleYou'll manage and oversee a varied caseload of information law matters, supervise team members, and support business development initiatives. The role offers the chance to work with a high-calibre client base and collaborate with specialists across the firm. Location is flexible across the firm's nationwide offices.Key responsibilities include:Advising on UK GDPR, DPA 2018, FOIA, and related regulationsHandling statutory requests such as subject access and FOIA requestsDrafting privacy notices, policies, and consent mechanismsManaging data breaches and liaising with the ICODrafting data sharing and processor agreementsAdvising on direct marketing and fundraising complianceConducting training sessions and webinarsSupervising junior team members and contributing to team developmentSupporting marketing and business development activitiesCandidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:5+ years PQE in information law, data protection, or privacyExperience advising on UK GDPR, DPA, and FOIAStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to manage a caseload independently and supervise othersCommitment to career development and further learningExperience in the Education, Charity, or Public Sectors (desirable)CIPPE or equivalent qualification (desirable)Working ArrangementsThe firm supports hybrid working across all roles.
