Circa £550 per day outside IR35

We are seeking a Telco Cloud Infrastructure Architect to deliver HLD/LLD designs for large-scale telecom transformation programmes spanning 5G Core, IMS, and cloud-native infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design vendor-neutral HLD/LLD architectures for Telco Cloud platforms
  • Support migration from VMware to Red Hat / Wind River / cloud-native environments
  • Define resilience, HA/DR, capacity and scaling models
  • Deliver security-by-design (TSA-compliant) architectures
  • Design IP network fabrics (Cisco / Arista) and infrastructure services (DNS, NTP, FW, LB, AAA)
  • Support 5G Core, IMS, UDB, DAB and Load Balancing programmes
  • Drive automation-first / GitOps operating models
  • Support first-site builds and transition into BAU operations


Required Experience


  • Strong background in Telco Cloud / Network Architecture
  • Proven delivery of HLD/LLD in large telecom environments
  • Experience with 5G Core, IMS, NFV or cloud-native telecom systems
  • Knowledge of OpenShift / Kubernetes / virtualization platforms
  • Strong IP networking (Cisco xwzovoh / Arista) and infrastructure design skills
  • Experience in HA/DR, capacity planning and security architecture

Desirable


  • ETSI NFV / MANO, Open RAN exposure
  • Automation / CI-CD / GitOps experience
  • Spirent or telecom testing frameworks
  • VMware → cloud-native migration programmes
