Role Overview
We are seeking a Land Rights/Consents Coordinator to support the delivery of new electricity networks across a range of projects, from EV infrastructure through to larger high-voltage developments.
Working closely with internal teams, external contractors, landowners, and DNO/ICP partners, you will be responsible for coordinating the land rights and consenting process required to enable projects to progress through to energisation.
This is an opportunity for someone with experience in utility land rights, wayleaves, easements, or property consents who also has experience working with Land Registry plans, CAD drawings, or GIS-based mapping.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the acquisition of land and land rights, environmental and planning consents for utility projects
- Identify requirements for easements, wayleaves and other land rights
- Manage the negotiation of Heads of Terms and land rights documentation with landowners and third parties
- Ensure land rights are secured in a timely manner to enable installation and operation of sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external IDNO/DNO partners to support project delivery
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Raise land enquiries and utilise Land Registry platforms to obtain accurate property information
- Prepare regular reports and provide updates during weekly project meetings
- Support the Asset Management team to ensure ongoing network compliance
Experience & Skills Required
The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a legal, utility, energy, infrastructure, or property environment, with a background in coordinating land rights or consents.
You will have:
- Experience managing land rights, wayleaves, easements, or property transactions.
- Experience working within the legal, utilities, energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of the Land Registry process, including reviewing title information and raising land enquiries.
- Experience working with Land Registry plans, easement plans, or utility infrastructure drawings.
- Experience using or interpreting CAD/GIS drawings, ideally relating to utility networks, cable routes, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with landowners, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within a DNO, IDNO, ICP, or electricity network environment.
- Experience supporting HV/LV electrical infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of easements, wayleaves, leases, licences, and land agreements.
- Experience with AutoCAD, GIS platforms, or similar mapping software. xwzovoh
