Senior Highway Engineer ? Leeds (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home) ? £43,000 - £53,000 + 8% pension ? 35-hour week I'm working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy (part of a larger national group) looking to add a Senior Engineer to their Leeds team. This role is ideal for someone ready to move beyond pure delivery - taking ownership of schemes, influencing design decisions, and mentoring junior engineers. The Role You'll play a key part in delivering highways and drainage designs across a varied project portfolio (residential, commercial, healthcare, education and energy). Key responsibilities include: Leading the technical delivery of highways and drainage schemes Producing and reviewing drawings, calculations, and specifications Supporting and mentoring engineers and technicians Coordinating design inputs and managing workloads Ensuring outputs meet standards, legislation, and best practice Supporting client interaction and contributing to design solutionsWhat They're Looking For Strong background in highways and drainage design (roads, foul & surface water) Experience across multiple sectors (resi, commercial, industrial etc.) Ability to produce reports such as Drainage Strategies, FRAs, O&M manuals Confident communicator who can guide and influence others Competent with industry design software + Microsoft Office Proactive, solutions-focused mindset Full UK driving licenceWhat's On Offer £43,000 - £53,000 salary 8% employer pension 35-hour week Hybrid working (flexible setup) Exposure to a broad range of UK projects Clear progression within a national consultancy Supportive, collaborative team environmentIf interested in this position, please contact Taylor Smith at Calibre Search Manchester.
