Design Manager - Cladding

Design Manager – Refurbishment & Recladding Hatfield (4 days office/site based) Competitive Salary Package We are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering major refurbishment, fire remediation, and recladding schemes across occupied residential and higher-risk buildings. This role will involve leading design from pre-construction through to delivery, managing consultant teams, driving technical coordination, and ensuring compliance with the latest Building Safety regulations. Responsibilities:️ Managing the design process from tender through to project completion ️ Coordinating consultants, subcontractors, and client teams ️ Leading design meetings and technical reviews ️ Managing design programmes and tracking deliverables ️ Reviewing drawings and ensuring buildability and compliance ️ Supporting commercial and operational teams during delivery ️ Ensuring compliance with Building Safety Act and HRB requirements ️ Managing design changes, RFIs, and technical queries Requirements:️ Previous experience working for a Tier 1 contractor ️ Strong refurbishment / residential background ️ Recladding & fire remediation experience essential ️ Knowledge of Building Safety Act / HRBs ️ Experience managing design through pre-con and delivery stages ️ Relevant construction / technical qualification The role is based out of Hatfield with a mix of office and site attendance across projects.
