Teacher of Drama (Part-Time) Location: Rotherham Job Type: Part-time, Temporary (Until End of Academic Year) Working Days: Wednesday & Thursday Start Date: ASAP About the Role Prospero Teaching is pleased to be working with a welcoming secondary school in Rotherham to recruit a creative and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama. This is a part-time opportunity, working Wednesdays and Thursdays until the end of the academic year. The role offers a varied timetable, with a particular focus on delivering engaging Drama lessons while also supporting the wider school through general cover where required. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality Drama lessons that inspire and engage students Teach across Key Stages (primarily KS3/KS4 depending on timetable) Provide general classroom cover on Wednesdays, alongside two scheduled Drama lessons Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies Mark and assess work where required The Ideal Candidate Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Has experience teaching Drama at secondary level Is confident delivering both specialist Drama lessons and general cover lessons Demonstrates strong classroom management and adaptability Has a passion for the performing arts and student development Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one) What Prospero Teaching Offers Competitive rates of pay Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive school Flexible, part-time working patternIf you are a passionate Drama teacher looking for a part-time role in Rotherham, we would love to hear from you.
