HGV mechanic

Our client is looking for an experienced HGV Fitter/Plant Mechanic (Afternoon Shift - flexible start time). You will be required to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across HGV's and Trailers. * Complete inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance * Diagnose and repair complex faults * Repair/replace engines, transmissions, brakes, * Attend breakdowns - phone diagnostics, roadside and customer sites * Maintain accurate job sheets, inspection reports and parts records * Communicate clearly on repair progress, timeframes and parts needed * Follow all company safety procedures Suitable candidates will have: * 4+ years’ experience as an HGV and/or plant mechanic * IRTEC certification * Welding/fabrication skills * Knowledge of hydraulic systems, LOLER and hooklift (RORO) equipment * Strong work ethic and reliability * Willing to learn and develop * Positive, proactive approach * High attention to detail * Team player with a desire to grow This role is within a progressive company where training and development is available
