Residential Support Worker - 2 bedded Children's Residential Home
Location: Manchester
Salary: £25,272 - £33,696 per annum, plus £52 per sleep
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: 3 x 12 hour shifts plus sleeps
Residential Support Worker candidates can choose between a 36 hour, 40 hour or 48 hour permanent contract.


Brook Street Social Care, in proud partnership with a respected children's residential care provider in Manchester, is recruiting for experienced and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join their compassionate and expanding team.


About the Role:


As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with EBD needs in a safe, children centred and structured environment. You will offer support with a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people in care with day to day duties and independence.
  • Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met
  • Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals

Requirements:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) -Ideally or happy to work towards.
  • Previous experience within a similar setting - either young people in care or family support.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in young people's lives
  • Ability to work flexibly, including nights, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts
  • Driver with access to own car
