Due to continued growth T&K Associates are currently recruiting for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our Client on a temporary to permanent basis in Shepshed.

Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Operative Job Details & Benefits;

• £12.96 per hour
• Monday Friday 7:30am 4:30pm

Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Operative Role & Responsibilities include;

• Ensure products are delivered and stored safely to sites throughout the UK including
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes accurately in a fuel-efficient manner.
• Follow routes and time schedule to optimise driving time.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle
• Collect payments
• Follow DOT regulations, safety standards and ensure quality service standards comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Inspect products for defects and damages and report any discrepancies
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
• Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment

Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Operative Person Specification;

• Experience as a Multi Drop Delivery Driver, preferably with knowledge of the road systems in the West Midlands and East Midlands.
• Experience in driving 3.5t long wheel base vehicle

• Full valid drivers license with no more than 3 points and held for a minimum of 24 months
• Excellent organizationaland time management skills
• Experience as a warehouse worker and familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to operate forklift, hand truck and other warehouse equipment
• Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
• Team player with organisational skills
• Ability to lift or move heavy products
