About the Company:
Our client is a leading international construction contractor delivering some of the UK & Europe's most complex and high-profile data centre and commercial developments. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline across Coventry, they are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a flagship hyperscale data centre project.

The Role:
Reporting to the Project HSE Manager, the Health & Safety Advisor will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture across a major data centre construction project.
You will work closely with site management, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure compliance with Irish legislation, company procedures and project-specific safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of the project Health & Safety Management System
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety tours
• Ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and company standards
• Assist with the development and review of RAMS, permits and safe systems of work
• Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance on site
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and corrective actions
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Assist in the preparation of project safety documentation and reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project team
• Liaise with project management teams, clients and external stakeholders regarding safety matters
• Track and close out safety observations and corrective actions
• Support emergency response planning and site preparedness
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with ISO 45001 standards
Requirements:
• Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline
• A number of years' experience in a Health & Safety role within construction
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of Irish Health & Safety legislation

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work within a fast-paced project environment
• Full driving licence
Desirable Experience
• Data Centre experience
• Mission Critical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial or Major Build project experience
• IOSH Membership
• Chartered or progressing toward Chartered status
• Experience working with international contractors
