Qualified Accountant Location: West Yorkshire About the Role Our growing practise is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with previous experience in an accountancy practice who is looking to further develop their career in a professional and supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied client portfolio, providing bookkeeping and VAT services to sole traders and incorporated businesses across a wide range of industries. Key Responsibilities * Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping and VAT clients, including sole traders and limited companies * Carry out bookkeeping duties using a variety of accounting software, predominantly Xero * Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time * Review work completed by junior team members and outsourced staff * Respond to client queries in a professional and timely manner * Ensure trial balances are accurate and complete before handover to the accounts department * Process VAT registrations and de-registrations with HMRC * Maintain strong client relationships and provide high levels of customer service Skills & Experience Required The ideal candidate will have: * Previous experience working within an accountancy practice * Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge * Experience managing multiple client deadlines * Excellent communication and
