A respected and forward-thinking conveyancing firm is seeking an experienced Leasehold Lawyer to join their team in a specialist non-client-facing role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong residential property lawyer who enjoys title review work and prefers a back-office function over direct client interaction.
About the Role:
This unique position focuses on the internal review and quality assurance of outsourced title checks, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance before progressing matters internally. You will not be responsible for managing clients or handling full transactions, making this an ideal role for a detail-oriented lawyer looking to move away from fee earning.
Key Responsibilities:
Review title reports and supporting documents prepared by outsourced providers.
Identify and resolve title-related issues, particularly in relation to complex transactions.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high-quality output.
Support fee earners by flagging legal risks or missing information in title documentation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of land registration and leasehold requirements.
Help improve internal procedures and quality control processes related to title checks.
Key Requirements:
Qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer, or experienced conveyancing professional with strong title checking experience.
Excellent understanding of complex title review processes.
Ability to analyse complex legal documents with a high level of attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a non-client-facing, internal support role.
Confident communicator and collaborator within a legal team.
Able to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
