Graduate Opportunity - Transport/Logistics Planning Coordinator

Cookstown | Full-Time, Permanent | Early Finish Fridays (1pm)


We are partnering with a long-established and highly respected manufacturing business to recruit a Transport/Logistics Planning Coordinator to join their busy operations function.


This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build practical experience in transport planning, logistics coordination and operational support. The role offers broad exposure across the end-to-end delivery process, working closely with internal teams, external hauliers and customers to ensure efficient and timely distribution of goods.


The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily transport operations, ensuring schedules are accurate, documentation is maintained and deliveries are executed smoothly within agreed service levels.


Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily transport and delivery schedules with internal departments
  • Arrange bookings with approved transport and haulage providers
  • Maintain accurate records of loads, schedules and transport documentation
  • Prepare dispatch paperwork and ensure POD (proof of delivery) tracking is completed
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the logistics team
  • Assist in improving efficiency across transport and warehouse processes
  • Support compliance with internal procedures and quality standards


About you

  • Graduate or placement student looking to start a career in operations
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator who can work effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and general administration systems
  • Proactive, reliable and keen to develop within an operational setting
