Position: Health Care Assistant 8am to 2pm & 2pm to 8pm mixed shifts
Care home: Eastlands
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, NG17 4BR
Contract type: 8am to 2pm and 2pm to 8pm mixed shifts
Rate: £13.21 per hour (£13.31 per hour on completion of Exemplar Care Certificate)

About the role
Our Health Care Assistants support people to live their best lives, whatever that looks like to them.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* encouraging and engaging people in learning and developing their daily living skills and independence
* recognising when people are unwell and providing the appropriate support
* supporting people with their personal care such as getting washed, having a shower and getting dressed
* assisting people at meal times
* supporting people with their health and wellbeing needs
* encouraging people to take part in social activities, both inside and outside the home
* promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect at all times
* filling in care records.
About you

* experienced in a similar care environment, with people with complex needs
* caring, kind, understanding and calm
* able to deal with, and defuse, challenging situations
