About the Role

We are seeking an interim Legal Counsel specializing in construction to support Equinix’s data centre development projects across the EMEA region for a period of 6 months. This role is ideal for a lawyer who thrives in fast-paced, business-critical environments and enjoys partnering with stakeholders across the business with a focus on the Design & Construction team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on all legal and contractual aspects of the development and construction of data centres, including contract negotiation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support major infrastructure projects, focusing on construction contracts and project delivery.
  • Provide clear, commercial, and practical legal advice to stakeholders across EMEA.
  • Identify legal risks and propose pragmatic solutions to enable business growth.
  • Contribute to creation and continuous improvement of legal processes, playbooks and templates.
  • Manage external counsel.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE, specializing in construction law.
  • Experience in private practice, in-house, or both.
  • Strong expertise in construction contracts and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in the data centre industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Fluent English.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a diverse, fast-paced workload.
