Registered Manager - Children and Young People
Penrith, Cumbria
Our client, a reputable provider of young people residential care services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established dual-registered service supporting young people. These settled services benefit from full staffing teams and dedicated assistant managers in each home, offering a supportive environment for both staff and residents.
What you'll be doing:
Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
Overseeing staff teams, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of young people.
Ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining excellent relationships with regulatory bodies.
Supporting staff development and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
What you'll bring:
Proven leadership skills within social care, with experience managing large homes or services supporting young people.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations and care standards.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to motivate and develop staff teams.
Essential skills and qualifications:
Level 3 Children and Your People Workforce/Residential Child Care and/or Level 5 management qualification in social care (or equivalent).
Experience managing a large or complex care service.
Full UK driving licence is desirable.
Benefits include:
Competitive salary: £52,232 (if ready to step up from Deputy Manager holding a Level 3 qualification), or £59,802 (with Level 5 and 12 months experience managing large homes).
£5,000 joining fee (first £2,500 paid in initial pay, second after 6 months).
£8,000 relocation support package.
Ongoing support from operations management.
