Geotechnical Engineer

Geotechnical Engineer – London We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join a respected, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy at its London office. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects, including energy, infrastructure, and commercial developments, while advancing your technical and professional skills. The Role The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of geotechnical and geo-environmental services, from site investigation through to detailed design and reporting. The position offers a mix of site and office-based responsibilities within a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Assisting in the planning and supervision of ground investigations Logging soil and rock samples and interpreting geotechnical data Preparing factual and interpretative reports Supporting geotechnical design for foundations and earthworks Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal project teams Maintaining health & safety standards on siteRequirements Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline Previous experience in a geotechnical or ground investigation role Familiarity with UK standards and industry best practice Strong communication and report-writing skills Proactive approach and willingness to learnDesirable Working towards professional chartership (ICE, GeolSoc, or similar) Experience with geotechnical analysis software Full UK driving licenceWhat’s on Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits Structured training and support towards chartership Opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging projects Friendly and collaborative team cultureIf you are looking for your next career move within a forward-thinking consultancy, we would be delighted to hear from you
