Carryingoutavariedrangeofgardeningduties,requiringaminimumamountofsupervisionanduseofowninitiative
Generalgroundsmaintenancedutiessuchasgrasscutting,pedestrianandrideonmowers.
Useofhandtoolssuchasstrimmers,hedgecutters,blowersandanyhandtoolrequiredtocarryoutthejob.
Markingfootballfields.
Repairstofineturfandplayingsurfaces.
Litterpicking,binemptying.
Assistingthearboteamwhenrequired.
Drivevehiclesandpulltrailers(withappropriatequalifications).
Soilcultivation,digging,forking,mulching,watering,raking,weeding,litteranddebris
clearing,edging,pruning,seedsowing,bedpreparationandplanting
Lawnmaintenanceandcultivation
Ensuringthatalltools,gardenequipmentandmachineryarecorrectlymaintainedanddefectsarereportedtoensuretheyarekeptingoodandsafeworkingorder.
Assistingwiththeconstructionoflandscapeschemes
Seasonalbedding,removalandplanting.
AwarenessandpractisingofHealthandSafetylegislations,ensuringasafeworkingenvironmentforeveryoneworkingorusingthecouncilsgreenspaces.
Keepingthevanandtoolshedscleanandtidyandtoolsstoredsecurelyatalltimes
Useofnaturalmethodsforplantprotectionandpestcontrol,avoidingapplicationofchemicalsandpesticides
