Slitting Machine Operator

Location: Bristol, BS16 Job Role: Slitting Machine Operator Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm - rotating Role Type: Permanent Hourly rate: up to £32,301.00 DOE gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment business and currently looking to recruit a Slitting Machine Operator for our client based in Bristol, BS16. If you are looking for a forward-thinking business on which to leave your mark; where your work is valued, where you will test your skills and then develop them further than you thought you could - this place is for you.  Previous machine operating/ production or manufacturing experience is essential.  Job Responsibilities: Operating slitting equipment — Safely run and monitor the slitting machine throughout production. Verifying materials and machine setup — Ensure all inputs, settings, and specifications match the requirements of each job. Inspecting finished products — Carry out quality control checks to confirm output meets standards. Supporting additional production lines — Operate other machinery when needed to maintain workflow. End‑of‑shift cleaning — Clean and maintain the machine at the close of each shift to keep equipment in good condition. The Candidate: Machine operation experience — Background in running and setting up machinery within a fast‑moving consumer goods environment. Print or packaging knowledge — Understanding of printing or packaging processes is beneficial. FLT capability — Forklift truck experience is advantageous but not essential.
