Join Our Team as a Material Handler!

Position Details:
Contract Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 12 months
Hourly Rate: £16.15
Working Pattern: Full Time
Shift Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off (including weekends)
Shift Hours: 06:00 - 18:00
About the Role:
As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming raw materials against documentation.
Labeling, storing, and organizing materials according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Issuing raw materials to production based on work orders and batch records.
Maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting cycle counts.
Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and safety standards.
Operating material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) if certified.
Keeping raw material storage areas clean and organized.
Identifying and reporting damaged or expired materials.
Supporting audits and inspections as needed.
Following FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or manufacturing is preferred.
Knowledge of GMP or regulated environments is a plus.
Forklift or pallet jack certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions.
A team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
Physical capability to lift and move materials (typically up to 40-50 lbs).
Basic computer and documentation skills.
