The role involves both fieldwork and reporting, with opportunities to develop expertise across multiple ecological disciplines.Key Responsibilities:Undertake a variety of field surveys including Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveysAssist with the preparation of ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategiesLiaise with clients, stakeholders, and planning authoritiesSupport the design and implementation of biodiversity enhancements and habitat management plansContribute to project delivery from planning through to post-construction monitoringKey Requirements:A relevant degree in ecology or a related disciplineProven experience in ecological consultancy or a similar roleStrong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policyExperience conducting habitat and protected species surveys (e.g. bats, GCN, reptiles, birds)Membership of CIEEM (or working towards it)A full UK driving licenceDesirable:Holder of one or more protected species survey licencesExperience with GIS, data analysis, or EcIA reportingCSCS card (or willingness to obtain)Interested in this Ecologist opportunity?
