This is the team that delivers the monthly close for the UK group companies and owns the accuracy of what sits behind it.We're a high-transaction-volume lending business scaling across the UK, US and Mexico. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own real deliverables early and help automate and improve the processes within the Financial Reporting team.What you'll be doing/impact on objectivesDeliver monthly close for the UK group companies, accurately and within set timelinesPartner with the wider finance team and business stakeholders to prepare product-level P&Ls that support commercial decision-making, help with queries and month-end inputsTaking ownership, and automating, balance sheet reconciliations Month on Month, whilst applying an inquisitive mindset by being able to identify and investigate variances and unusual data trendsAssisting with the preparation of the consolidated balance sheet, P&L and cash flowWork with high volumes of data from different sources and compiling, consolidating and reconciling this data to be used and relied upon in month end reportsSupport continuous improvement of financial controls and policiesAssist with annual audit preparation, including supporting schedules and auditor queriesWhat we're looking forQualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 0-2 years PQEWorking knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRSExposure to US GAAP is beneficial given the group's US operationsStrong Excel skills for high-volume ledger and reconciliation workMeticulous and deadline-driven, suited to a fast-paced, high-transaction-volume environmentCollaborative, hands-on style rather than a purely technical or advisory orientationComfortable supporting continuous improvement of financial controls and policies rather than operating a static processInterview processScreening stage: an initial phone interview with our Talent Team and a 15 minute online cognitive assessment20 mins remote Hiring Manager interviewRemote case study task with a 3-5 day deadline45 minute remote team Interview to discuss your task and dive deeper into your experienceFinal stage Onsite interview with finance leadershipLife at LendableWinning team: the opportunity to scale up one of the world’s most successful fintech companiesFlexible working: flexible approach tailored to each role.
