The Role
You will be working with a range of industrial equipment producing high-quality stainless steel tubular, wire and steel components to customer specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
Setting and operating production machinery including auto-saws, guillotines, brake presses and tube bending equipment
Ensuring products are manufactured accurately, efficiently and to agreed production targets
Supervising and overseeing work carried out by colleagues using equipment you have prepared and set up
Carrying out routine tool and equipment maintenance in line with company procedures
Supporting wider manufacturing activities including wire work, assembly operations and press work as workload requires
Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the production environmentSkills and Experience
Previous experience setting and operating machinery within a manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environment
Supervisory experience or the ability to oversee and guide colleagues on production processes a distinct advantage
Good mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
Experience with NC-controlled equipment would be advantageous, although programming experience is not essential
A background in engineering would be highly beneficial
