Role Description The Head Baker is a full-time, on-site role based in Chipping Campden, responsible for leading daily production in the bakery, primarily bread focussed. The Head Baker will oversee food preparation workflows, manage baking schedules, and coordinate with the team to meet demand while minimizing waste. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe work environment, monitoring inventory of ingredients, supporting menu development, and training and mentoring bakery staff. The role requires hands-on work in the bakery and close collaboration with management to uphold MOR Bakery Ltd’s standards.

Qualifications

• Strong practical skills in Baking, with experience in commercial or artisan bakery environments.
• Proficiency in Food Preparation, including ingredient handling, mixing, and baking processes.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in Bread production, including dough preparation and baking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP practices.
• Ability to lead and train a small team, organize workflows, and manage production schedules.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, early-morning environment. xwzovoh
• Prior experience as a Head Baker or senior baker is preferred; relevant culinary or baking qualifications are an advantage.
