The Role Working as part of the Building Services team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems across a variety of projects from concept through to completion. Responsibilities include: Producing mechanical building services designs including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic water and public health systems Preparing design calculations, technical reports and specifications Developing coordinated designs using Revit, CAD and mechanical design software Assisting with compliance against current Building Regulations and relevant industry standards Carrying out site surveys, inspections, condition reports and witnessing activities Attending design meetings and providing technical input throughout project delivery Coordinating designs with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers and external consultants Supporting multidisciplinary project delivery from feasibility through to construction Working closely with senior engineers to develop technical knowledge and professional competence Contributing to the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: Experience within Mechanical Building Services Design Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Good understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services systems Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience producing mechanical calculations, reports and specifications Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary design team Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available) Desirable experience includes: Revit MEP experience Experience using mechanical design and calculation software such as Hevacomp, IES, CyMap or similar Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and British Standards Experience carrying out site surveys and inspections Working towards or already holding EngTech, IEng or CEng status Applications are welcomed from both experienced Mechanical Engineers and candidates with slightly less experience who are ready to step into an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer position.
