Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about helping young people build confidence, develop independence and reach their full potential? St David Recruitment is looking for a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs within a welcoming educational environment. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and the SEN team to provide tailored classroom support, encourage positive engagement and help the pupil develop both academically and socially. We’re looking for someone who is: • Patient, empathetic and genuinely passionate about supporting young people • Confident building positive and trusting relationships • Able to adapt their approach to individual learning needs • Understanding of, or experienced in, supporting SEN • A strong communicator and team player • Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing Must have enhanced DBS Teaching Assistant qualifications and previous SEN experience are desirable, but we’re particularly interested in finding the right person with the right attitude and approach. Location: Somerset Salary: 13.45 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:00pm Contract: Temporary (Possible Perm for the right candidate) This is a fantastic opportunity for a support SEN/EHCP Support role working at wonderful premises.
