Who we are looking for

A Software Developer, who will work in a small team of talented developers, following agile practices to develop high quality scalable solutions on Linux and Cloud platforms.

\n

You will be joining our pre-game and in-play team within the Site Services Trading and Tools department. You will be working on our flagship Sports product, to enhance our product offering with innovative new features. It is an exciting time as we continue to grow based on the constant success of our product and new opportunities in emerging markets.

\n

You will help to deliver the best front end and user centric experience for our customers and our team members. You will be exposed to challenges beyond the client facing products and develop low latency, highly available and scalable solutions.

\n

With a solid foundation in software delivery, your technical knowledge, attention to detail, people skills and passion for software development will be invaluable to the success of the team.

\n

Preferred skills and experience

\n

 
\nCommercial experience within web client or server side development.

\n

 
\nExperience working with front or backend technology.

\n

 
\nAbility to clearly communicate technical matters to people across different areas of the Business.

\n

 
\nExposure to mentoring and leadership.

\n

 
\nExperience working with Linux.

\n

 
\nExperience developing low latency, highly available and scalable solutions.

\n

 
\nKnowledge of Typescript, Golang, JavaScript, SQL, HTML5 and CSS3.

\n

 
\nExposure working in an environment with high volumes of transactions.

\n

 
\nExperience working with Scrum or other agile software development methodologies.

\n

 
\nUnderstanding of the development of automation and developer tooling such as Continuous Build and CI systems.

\n

Main Responsibilities

\n

 
\nImplementing new features onto the existing site.

\n

 
\nSupporting and enhancing existing code base.

\n

 
\nMaintaining clean coding practices.

\n

 
\nIdentifying technical areas of improvement.

\n

 
\nSupporting Product Owners as required.

\n

 
\nSupporting the testing team during testing phases of projects.

\n

 
\nContributing to solution proposals.

\n

 
\nCreating work effort estimates.
