Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Highways / Infrastructure £400 - £500 per day ASAP Start We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major highways and infrastructure project for a leading Tier 1 contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong Senior QS with solid NEC contract experience and a background delivering civil engineering or infrastructure schemes. The successful candidate will take ownership of the commercial management of a project or section of works, supporting the commercial lead and project delivery team to ensure strong commercial performance and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: • Commercial management of projects and infrastructure works • Ownership of CVR and forecasting processes • Cost control, reporting and commercial reconciliation • Management of change control and compensation events • NEC contract administration • Identification and management of project risks and opportunities • Procurement support and subcontract management • Preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts • Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice • Ensuring contractual notices and commercial procedures are correctly managed • Client and stakeholder liaison Requirements: • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within highways, infrastructure or civil engineering projects • Strong NEC contract knowledge and administration experience • Experience managing CVRs, forecasting and cost reporting • Strong understanding of change management and compensation events • Ability to work within Tier 1 contractor environments • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable: • Major infrastructure or highways project experience • Experience working on large-scale civils schemes • Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management • Professional membership (RICS/CICES) advantageous Additional Information: • £400 - £500 per day • ASAP start • Long-term project opportunity • Hybrid/site-based working depending on project requirements Apply now with your updated CV if you are interested in the QS position
