Our collaborative approach allows us to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions across a broad range of complex and large-scale projects.Due to continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our Building Services team with an experienced Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer.The RoleThis is a key role within our MEP team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of electrical design delivery while supporting project leadership and mentoring junior team members.You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, working closely with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams as part of a fully integrated design approach. The role offers a strong balance between technical design, client interaction, and career progression.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the electrical design of Building Services systems across a range of projectsDeliver high-quality technical solutions from concept through to detailed designTake responsibility for project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.Design systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and data/communicationsSupport and mentor junior engineers and techniciansCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated project deliveryAttend client meetings and contribute to developing strong working relationshipsEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practiceContribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the teamAbout YouProven experience within a Building Services / MEP consultancy environmentStrong electrical design background across a range of sectorsAbility to lead design elements of projects and full project leadership at Principal level.Commercial awareness with understanding of project budgets and deliveryStrong communication and teamwork skillsExperience supporting or mentoring junior engineers (particularly at Principal level)Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) preferredWhat We OfferWe are a highly flexible and people-focused organisation, offering:Hybrid workingFlexible start and finish times to support work-life balanceA strong emphasis on wellbeingA collaborative, multidisciplinary environmentClear career progression opportunitiesCompetitive salary of 60,000 – 75,000 + benefitsWhy Join Us?You’ll be joining a forward-thinking consultancy where Building Services plays a central role in project delivery.
