Payroll Accountant

Department: FinancePosition Overview:Squarepoint has a newly created role for an experienced payroll accountant to join their growing management company accounting team.   Review payroll across numerous countries to verify correct base, bonus and severance payoutsReconcile payroll files to the JE provided by the payroll vendorReconcile payroll liability account to the bank and to the vendors’ booksParticipate in all monthly accounting activities including month-end closing, A/R, A/P, account reconciliations, allocations schedules and intercompany transactionsCoordinate with third party tax and auditor professionals in completing yearly tax returns and audits, both under US GAAP and under local reporting standardsParticipate in various ad-hoc requests from senior management and other departmentsRequired Qualifications:At least 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll accounting, payroll reconciliation or within a payroll service providerExceptional analytical & communication skillsAbility to multitask & strong attention to detailHighly organized, self-motivated & team-orientedStrong excel knowledge and ability to analyse data using PIVOTs, VLOOKUPs and sumifsNice to have:Workday Financials knowledge/experienceKnowledge of ADP as payroll vendor and UK payroll specifics
