The successful candidate will assist or lead new leveraged finance transactions and manage a portfolio of sector based existing credits. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior credit analyst, capable of appraising complex credit transactions, ideally with European leveraged finance or private equity experience. Other responsibilities include:Credit research and market analysisReport writing and presentingFinancial modellingTransaction monitoringClient relationshipsExperience, Skills and Competencies RequiredStrong report writing and presentational skillsMinimum of [8] years working as a Credit Analyst within leveraged finance at either a leading fund manager or investment bank, who is capable of appraising complex non-investment grade transactions.Experience in restructuring and/or distressed investing would be looked upon favourably.Ability to understand, appraise and analyse leveraged loan and high yield bond documentationHighly numerate and quantitative, including extensive experience of financial modelling within leveraged financeExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships between individuals, teams and lines of businessExcellent communication skills, ability to communicate clearly, persuade and influence; good listening skillsA pro-active approach and flexible attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative and reliabilityAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)Enthusiasm and drive to develop skillsQualifications/registrationsStrong academicsA levels or equivalent – ABB or aboveDegree or equivalent – 2:1 or aboveSummaryLocation: LondonType: Full time
