Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our

Transmission and Renewables

team in Wales and South West England.

We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

What will you be doing?

Are you ready for the next stage in your career? If so, we’d love you to join us as a Civil Project Engineer, where you'll support the Civil Construction Manager in coordinating all on-site activities, including:

Delivering capital electrical transmission projects for clients like National Grid, SSE, and private enterprises.

Coordinate full project lifecycle: design, build, commercial, and programme management.

Lead design assurance processes to meet key contractual milestones.

Support Temporary Works coordination and assist TWC/TWS throughout project phases.

Use client systems to manage project correspondence (e.g., EWNs, Compensation Events).

Collaborate with planners and site managers to maintain and update project programmes.

Prepare and submit handover documentation, including H&S files and test plans.

Resolve on-site design issues and advise on constructability.

Liaise with commercial teams on subcontractor packages and resource planning.

Attend site visits and meetings to support project delivery and planning.

What you’ll bring

Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering capital projects in electrical transmission

Qualification in construction or project management

CSCS card (or equivalent) and full UK driving licence

Knowledge of National Grid procedures and technical specifications

Understanding of Temporary Works and BS5975 classifications

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Confident relationship builder with clients and teams

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project databases

Civil engineering or project management qualifications are a plus

Proactive and solution-focused approach
