English Teacher - Durham - Start ASAP

Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic English Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational PRU Settings in Durham on a Temporary to Permanent basis, to start after October half-term. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.

About the Role:

• The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative English sessions that inspire pupils with a wide range of SEN and allows all pupils to make progress.
  * Working with Secondary aged pupils within a PRU setting who have SEMH of varying levels as well as challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis and in small Intervention groups
  * Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
  * Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner
  * Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
